Section 1 - Index/Log-in Page:


  1. Type the User ID sent to you into the box marked 'User id'. In the example shown we have typed in TEST_ID.
  2. Type the password sent to you into the box marked 'Password'. As you type in your password the letters will automatically be converted to black dots to keep the password secret.
  3. Once you have typed in your User ID and Password, click on the button marked 'Login' to enter the Site.
  4. If at anytime you wish to return to the FEC Services main website, click the button on the left marked 'FEC Services home' and you will automatically be re-directed to the main site area.

Section 2 - Welcome Page:


  1. Once you have logged-in you will be at the main welcome page, from here you can enter energy readings, view reports on your energy consumption (and send details of any meter changes that are made).
  2. To return to the main log-in page click on the button marked 'Log Out'.
  3. To enter your energy data click on the button on the left of the screen marked 'Meter Reading' and this will take you to the first data entry page, click on the button marked 'Reporting' to view your energy reports and clicking on the button marked 'Meter Change' will enable you to send any amended meter details.

Section 3 - Meter Readings:


  1. To select the site that you would like to enter energy readings for click on the downward arrow button next to the box marked 'site'. This will reveal all the sites that you can enter data for. To select the site click on the name of the site required.
  2. Next enter the date that the readings were taken. This can either be done by typing the date into the white box marked 'reading date' using either of the following formats; 01.10.2000 or 01/10/2000 (please remember these are only example dates, you should enter your reading dates) or click on the small calendar picture to display a calendar that you can use to select the dates that you require.

  4. Once you have selected the site and date that you wish to enter readings for click the button marked 'next' to go to the data entry screen.
  5. In this screen you can enter your meter readings for the various fuel types that you use. If you have not entered previous readings then the previous status will show as zero.
  6. If any of the information shown about your energy usage is incorrect (such as showing incorrect or missing energy/fuel types) then please contact us and we will amend the details accordingly.
  7. Enter new reading data by typing the figures in the relevant boxes as shown and then click the button marked submit to send the data to the website database.
  8. Once you have submitted a set of readings you can enter another set for a different date or site by clicking on the 'Meter Reading' button again which will take you back to the meter reading site selection screen. From here you can choose another site using the drop-down list or enter a new date, click next and then enter the new data in the same way as before.

Section 4 - Reporting:


  1. Clicking the 'Reporting' button enables you to view a series of reports on your energy usage.The reports are arranged so that they can be run by energy type, report type, layout of the report and the date range that the report covers.
  2. In order to select your report first select the site and the energy type that you wish to run the report for from the drop down lists.
  3. Once the energy type has been selected then the report type can be selected. Different energy types have different reports associated with. Fuels can be reported either individually 'per fuel' or in total for the site. Reports are also available to show progress against SEC targets and also your carbon footprint.
  4. Once the report type has been selected then choose the start and end date of the report. For actual reporting use 2 dates where actual readings are present otherwise the software will create intermediary interpreted readings to make a best estimate of usage over the period selected.
  5. Finally choose a frequency for the report and then click the 'Generate report' button to create the report based on your selected criteria. The selected report will then open in a new window. The report can be printed from the printer image on the top left of the page.
